Nutrition
As part of our all inclusive service, all meals and snacks are provided for children in our care. We cater for all dietary needs and allergies and provide feedback on what your child has eaten.
Our menus are created with a balanced approach with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, a range of healthy protein sources and a small desert to follow each meal. We regularly serve main meals and deserts at one time to promote the idea that all food is good food, we encourage children to sit together and socialise at meal times too.
Food menus are updated seasonally.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served between 8am and 8:30am. Children are offered a choice of cereal such as whole grain cheerios, porridge or weetabix along with a choice of toast, pastries, fruit bread or homemade breakfast bakes. We also serve fresh fruit and water or milk to drink.
Snacks
Children are offered a mid morning and mid afternoon snack. We serve choices of toast, breadsticks, crackers, cheese cubes or fruit bread alongside a portion of fresh fruit or vegetables and milk to drink.
Drinks
Children have independent access to water throughout the day and are offered milk at snack times and breakfast. We don’t offer squash or fruit juices.
Note: if a child has an allergy, menus are updated to identify these and show the alternative ingredient/meal offered. All homemade bakes are made with low or no added sugar, often naturally sweetened with fruit or honey. Children under 12 months are not offered honey. Any ‘peanut butter’ used in the setting is soy based and nut free.
